PES is led by Gordon S. Cruickshank, founding the company in 1995, and currently serves as president and general manager.   Mr. Cruickshank has a unique understanding of the clients needs for environmental due diligence having received education and experience in both environmental science and commercial and residential real estate.

His diverse experience has involved property assessment/auditing, hazardous material management, site characterization, remediation oversight, health and safety consultation, regulatory review, and military base closure assessments.   He has authored numerous short articles on environmental due diligence, served as the Environmental Committee Chairman for two real estate development industry associations.

Mr. Cruickshank is a Registered Professional Geologist (PG), a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Master Level, through the Institute of Hazardous Material Management, a Registered Environmental Property Assessor (REPA) through the National Registry of Environmental Professionals, a Member of the Professional Industrial Hygienists, and licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an Asbestos Inspector and Management Planner.
